How much mistreatment would you take?

Would you stand by, watch, and do nothing ...unless it affected you?

Would you allow you basic rights to be taken away ...by mere political dictate or regulation?  Without so much of a discussion to challenge it?

Would you stand by and watch children be either enslaved or murdered?

Actually, this has happened in a form that has become a political forum ...demanding rights that are insanely inhumane.

Can you conceive of the horror ...of once conceived, the claim of valuing not the defenseless unborn, to also not valuing the newly born?

This cruel and powerful leader is the force behind all evil ...and has already taken over major portions of our hearts and minds.

Yes, we can find many to blame ...or we can hold only ourselves responsible.  But, the undisputed leader is Satan.  He is not so concerned where he leads us as long as it is away from God.

Z-Z-Z-Z-Z-Z-Z-Z-Z-Z-Z ....No, don't go to sleep yet!!  Yes, I just recently mentioned this story in a blog about Anarchy (http://whoreallyispromotinganarchy.blogspot.com/) ...and now, a slightly longer presentation of the same story.

And yes, I know I already mentioned the lawlessness one.  And if we ourselves depart from following laws, then we leave ourselves very vulnerable to a mindset that could take us right over.

Don't read your child 'The Boy Who Cried Wolf' as a bedtime story. You may choose not to read it at all ...but, as an option, don't tell your child that the wolf doesn't even exist.

I watched the debate a couple nights ago. The subject of violence worked its way into the debates. Answering to violence in our own society, the subject of education came up ...and there was also the mention of mental health.

The decisions that most people make are not spontaneous ...but, are thought through. Yet, those decisions can be complicated if a person has been mistreated, misdirected, or has not been given any direction at all ...and we look to teaching, or re-teaching as part of the solution to the problem. If a person is thought in need of an overhaul, they perhaps are thought to 'need' mental health treatment.

I worked in a mental health facility, and my feeling was that most of the children I worked with did not seem to be classified as mentally ill ...but instead, were a product of our social ills.

One particular evening there seemed to be more unrest than usual. The higher level of redirection was a 'Quiet Room' ...and that required a Doctor's order, and a good deal of documentation. One person at a time could be sent there ...so, it had to be decided who was most in need. We also had a conference room that could seat more than one person, but it was not visible for adequate supervision, so if multiple children were directed there, one of us care staff had to sit there also.

That evening we had four children in the conference room ...one in each corner. And I sat in a chair in the doorway.

One of the kids got up ...and I asked him to sit back down.

He said he didn't like all the rules, and he didn't have to sit down.

I mentioned that if he failed to follow directions, eventually the other three would leave the room and he would be sitting by himself.

The boy said he believed in anarchy.

What can be said to that!?!

Well, it was part of my job to encourage them to think things through, so instead of immediately supplying the answers, I asked, "What is anarchy?"

I had more of his attention, as he was about to instruct me, "Anarchy ...is no rules!! Everybody does whatever they want to do!!"

I calmly looked at him, and said, "Well, with anarchy ...things would run here the same as they do now."

The boy laughed, "No way ...you're crazy!! With no rules, everybody would do what they wanted!"

I looked into his excited eyes, "Do you think so? What I want is for you to sit down, so what I want is quite opposite from what you want. The thing is, I get my way because I'm bigger than you."

The boy swallowed, regained his breath, then was re-energized by his next thought, "There are four of us ...we are the baddest ones here. We could take you!"

I looked calmly into his darting eyes, "I work within the rules, and my goal is not to hurt you ...so you should be thankful there are rules. Furthermore, I work here because I want to 'help' you, not hurt you. Now, let me help you understand ...if you don't sit down, you won't be leaving the room anytime soon ...and that will just be hurting yourself."

The boy then sits down.

The larger point here is: No, I don't believe the 'bigger' person should win ...yet, I believe we should do what God says, and I think it's absurd to think we are 'bigger' than Him.

You can equate anarchy to lawlessness. No, I don't think most people want society without rules ...it's just that too many of us want our own rules, and we associate with a group that can come to a consensus and reflect those particular viewpoints.

Do we follow each other, or do we follow what God says, in His Word??

We can aspire to our own rules because we live in a society that protects us to a degree and allows us choice. Yet, we can also choose to desire to follow God's Word, the Bible.

And beware of a wolf, especially in sheep's clothing. “For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work ..."

(That is from 2nd Thessalonians, Chapter two.)
